How do I join the course I am interested in?
We have a mixture of training courses here at the School of Applied Mental Health. Some courses, such as our shorter ones, can be joined simply by following the link in the course description page. For longer courses, such as our Diploma in Online and Distance Therapy, check the course details page for more information on how to apply.
What equipment do I need?
All of our courses are online, giving you maximum flexibility about how you learn. We recommend using a laptop, desktop or tablet with a reliable internet connection and speed. Our courses use a combination of text, video, images and audio. As a quick way to check your internet, try watching a video on a service such as YouTube.com and see how you get on. If you have any questions do get in touch.
How do I pay for my course?
We use the secure online payment company Stripe for all of our courses. Once you are ready to join a course you will be prompted online to make payment. You do not need to set up any form of account to use Stripe to pay for your course. If you have made purchases online before then it will be similar to that checkout process.
When do the courses run?
Our courses run whenever you are ready. Unlike some providers, we don’t artificially create ‘intakes’, instead they are available to suit your chosen start date. For the shorter courses, the training will start as soon as you have chosen your training course and paid. For our more in-depth courses like our Diploma in Online and Distance Therapy, we will first need to check that you meet the pre-requisites and then we will send you a link to join.
How long do I have to complete the course?
You are encouraged to undertake the course at your own pace, allowing you time to process the information provided and to allow your evolving experiences within your practice to influence your learning. However, the Diploma in Online and Distance Therapy does need to be completed within 12 months from sign up date. Shorter courses have a 30-day window for completion. If you believe you may struggle to achieve this, do get in touch with us so we can discuss your circumstances and look at options.
